iProtect is a group that was borne out of a need to create innovative solutions in the legal, tax, fiduciary and succession planning space.
Most people ignore attending to their administrative, financial and testamentary needs. The facts speak for themselves as most individuals do NOT have a Last Will and Testament but we all know that we are all going to eventually die!
Very simply administration is not at the top of our list of things do let alone dealing with the taboo subject of death and dealing with who gets what or not.
On the other hand many individuals with the best intentions do not enquire or approach a family member to attend to their Last Will and Testament as their prompting may be perceived to be interfering or a presumption that they will personally benefit. In both instances inaction is the result.
The ramifications of an individual’s death is a highly traumatic event and the lack of planning for the death of an individual only compounds the distress as the surviving family are ordinarily left in the dark pertaining to the deceased’s financial affairs and even more prejudiced when assets are repossessed, forcibly sold and they are unable to access assets and cash meet daily living and expenses.
Sadly, most of us are woefully uninformed on what our rights are, what the costs of death are, the taxes and duties that are triggered and we believe uncertain if our assets will end up with our intended beneficiaries.
Enter iProtect Exchange.
Our goal is to educate people on what the legal, tax and administrative issues are on the event of their passing. We want to eliminate the fear of taking action on the inevitable event of their death. We wish to disseminate information to create certainty and transparency on how an individual’s estate will devolve and be wound up.
Our goal is to educate people on what the legal, tax and administrative issues are on the event of their passing. We want to eliminate the fear of taking action on the inevitable event of their death. We wish to disseminate information to create certainty and transparency on how an individual’s estate will devolve and be wound up.
To this end we have created a solution to assist all parties involved in the succession planning process. Firstly, the individual is the key party as they draw up their Last Will and Testament. The Will and all the individual’s key documents and assets are safely secured in a digital repository that can be accessed or amended at the election of the individual as regularly as they choose or when any significant event transpires (e.g. divorce, new baby, new home, property sale, new investments, less or more exposure etc).
The individual will be required to stipulate a post death plan of action to ensure that the surviving family and dependants are fully apprised of how the estate is to be administered and how the family is to be maintained in the interim period before the finalisation of the estate.
The iProtect group will assist the individual during the course of their lifetime.
On the demise of the individual, the nominated executor will be contacted to commence the winding up procedures and eligible beneficiaries will be contacted to ensure that there is transparency in the distribution of the estate. iProtect has developed an innovative system and method to the administration of estates that will ensure transparency but more importantly due to our innovation the deceased estate will be speedily wound up in contrast to the current costly, faceless and lengthy process.
We are at the forefront of our industry and look forward to being of service to you.
